June 23rd, 2008 by Jared Serviss
Further to Public Safety Canada Daily Infrastructure Report DIR08-119, on June 23, the Times and Transcript reported that core sampling done on June 20 showed that water from the swollen Duvall River is no longer eroding the ground under homes in Pangnirtung. However, with more rain and warm temperatures forecast, it is not known whether the current stability will last. Crews are currently trying to re-establish a road crossing as well as sewage and garbage service.
