June 23rd, 2008 by Jared Serviss
Further to Public Safety Canada Daily Infrastructure Report DIR08-119, on June 20, the Government of Alberta announced that the public should not use the Gleniffer Lake, including the Red Deer River south of Sundre, while cleanup crews continue to contain and remove the oil spill. Containment booms were to remain on the lake over the weekend to prevent the spread of the spill, while surface water and shoreline recovery efforts continue.
