Residents of Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation evacuated due to flooding in Manitoba

On March 26, the Winnipeg Free Press reported that some residents of the Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation in southern Manitoba were evacuated because of rising flood waters that threatened the road into the reserve. The reserve health authority made the decision to evacuate elders and families with small children to a Winnipeg hotel. Flooding from the Roseau River is expected to completely cut off the community.
