Manitoba officials maintain vigilance along the Red River & Manitoba Health warns potential flood victims to be prepared

Further to Public Safety Canada Daily Infrastructure Report DIR09-062, the Government of Manitoba issued flood bulletin #6 indicating that some crest forecasts for the Red River in Manitoba remain unchanged while some areas were being re-evaluated. Anticipated crest forecasts from the community of Emerson to the floodway inlet have been reduced by 0.3 metres. The predicted crest in the City of Winnipeg remains at 5.8 to 6.3 metres. The Amphibex ice breakers will be deployed if an ice jam develops in Winnipeg. Some overland flooding continues in the Red River Valley.
