Further to Public Safety Canada Daily Infrastructure Report DIR09-079, on May 11, the Government of Manitoba issued flood bulletin #40. This latest bulletin indicates that flood water near the municipality of Morris in southern Manitoba has receded and that inspection of Highway 75 is to occur as soon as possible. It is anticipated that, barring major repair issues, Highway 75 to the U.S. border should reopen on May 15. Also, crews have been repairing road shoulders and removing debris along other portions of Highway 75.
