On October 7, Minister of Health Leona Aglukkaq announced that the government remains on track to make an authorized H1N1 vaccine available for Canadians in early November.  The vaccine will be available to all Canadians who want and need it, and can be administered to healthy Canadians and those with underlying medical conditions. The timing of the vaccine availability will not depend on the timing of upcoming clinical trials in Canada. Canadian vaccine authorization will be based on supporting safety and efficacy data that will come from international clinical trials.
