CBC News reported that thousands of households in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador, were without water on December 8. The city investigated a technical failure at a main water pumping station and found there was a technical glitch at the Windsor Lake water treatment plant, which caused an interruption in the flow. Crews located the source of the problem and service was slowly restored.
